So popular and no wonder! These make up very quickly into some very unique jewelry designs. I must admit that it took a LOT of experimenting at my torch to get my glass to apply directly to the copper wire and stick! The melting point of copper is MUCH lower than that of my glass so it just wants to melt into a puddle so there is a delicate balance of heat on both the metal and the glass to get this to work. There is a magical moment when it can happen. My sterling headpins are attached afterward – the sterling just can’t handle the flame at all with success. Nice thing about that is you can request just about any gauge wire when ordering to fit your project.
JUST added these to my website and I am letting you know first before my mailing list group as so many of these are one of a kind and I wanted first dibs to go to you. If you are not a jewelry maker yourself but want any of these made into something for you just let me know. (scroll down for a couple really fun earring designs)Orders welcome on these – just let me know and I will try.
