Easter – bright green, vivid pinks, corals & yellows, orchid – set aside the winter grays & browns. Tho studio work must cycle before the seasons arrive (orders for spring must be ready by spring – therefore created on dark winter days) it is always easier to bring out the spring like glass rod colors when the weather reflects the change. As a side note – it is often difficult for me to made Christmas ornaments in August….summers are so short and wonderful here in Wisconsin you just don’t want to be thinking about what is to come even if it does include the fun holiday season.
Some new Glass by Tammy Rae lampwork glass and sterling earring designs – new for 2014! This week 30 of these in an assortment of styles and colors are heading to the fabulous gallery The Flying Pig in Algoma, WI.
The warmer weather begs for lighter weights…..like silk ribbons as an alternative to metals and leather for necklaces. Fran and Judy at Class Act Designs have some of the most beautiful ribbons I have seen….some of their colors match my glass so perfectly it seems they design them just for me! Easy to wear…so very comfortable too!
These pendants are also ornaments and are a class I am offering at Bead & Button 2014….still room in the class if you are interested!
